PasteKit Support
Need help? Email ihwan@pemrogramkode.my.id and include your iPhone model, iOS version, and PasteKit version (shown in Settings). I usually reply within a few working days.
Setting up the PasteKit keyboard
- Open the iOS Settings app, then go to General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard and choose PasteKit.
- Tap PasteKit in the keyboard list and turn on Allow Full Access.
- In any text field, tap and hold the globe key (or tap it) to switch to PasteKit.
The setup guide in the app checks both steps for you and has a field where you can try the keyboard.
The keyboard doesn't appear? iOS always switches to the system keyboard in password fields and some phone-number fields. Some apps also block custom keyboards. Try a different text field, such as Notes or Messages.
What does "Allow Full Access" mean?
iOS asks for Full Access before a keyboard can read data saved by its app, such as your clips, or use the clipboard. The iOS warning is a general one that appears for every keyboard. Here's what PasteKit actually does with Full Access:
- It reads your saved clips so it can show and insert them.
- It reads the clipboard only when you tap Save Clipboard or turn on auto-save.
- It doesn't log or send what you type.
- Your clips stay on your device unless you turn on iCloud Backup & Sync (Pro).
Without Full Access, PasteKit can still type letters, but it can't show your saved clips. Details: Privacy Policy.
Why do I need to paste images myself?
iOS keyboards can only insert text. When you tap an image clip, PasteKit copies it to the clipboard. Then tap and hold the text field and choose Paste. Some apps don't accept pasted images.
Text clips are inserted directly with one tap.
Saving what you copy (Save Clipboard and auto-save)
- Save Clipboard: copy text or an image in any app, open the PasteKit keyboard, and tap Save Clipboard. The clip is saved without opening the app.
- Auto-save when keyboard opens (off by default): turn this on in PasteKit's Settings. Each time the PasteKit keyboard appears, new text or an image you've copied is saved automatically.
- Both need Allow Full Access.
- You can also save from the Share Sheet. Tap Share in another app, choose PasteKit, and pick a category. This works for text, links, and images.
Categories
- Create colored categories (for example Orders, Shipping, Payments) in the app.
- Filter clips by category in the app, and switch categories with the tabs at the top of the keyboard.
- Move clips between categories in the app at any time.
- Categories are free for everyone.
Search, pins, and order
- Search in the keyboard: search your saved clips from inside the PasteKit keyboard. You type the search with PasteKit's own letter keys.
- Search in the app: search by title or content.
- Pin the clips you use most to keep them at the top.
- Custom order: reorder clips in the app. The keyboard shows the same order.
- The keyboard remembers your last category, filter, layout, and scroll position.
Backup: export and import (free)
- Export: in Settings, tap Export Backup to save all clips as a JSON file. Save it to Files, iCloud Drive, or another safe place.
- Import: in Settings, tap Import Backup and choose a PasteKit JSON file.
- Use export before changing phones or reinstalling the app. The file contains your clip content, so keep it private.
iCloud Backup & Sync (PasteKit Pro)
- Turn it on in Settings → Backup & Sync. You must be signed in to iCloud.
- Clips are stored in your private iCloud database. The developer can't read it.
- Changes and deletions sync between your devices that use the same Apple Account. Sync doesn't keep old versions of clips, so use Export if you want a separate backup.
- Not syncing? Check that you're signed in to iCloud, that you have free iCloud storage, and that you're online. Then tap Sync Now.
Free plan and limits
- The free plan saves up to 25 clips. The app shows how many you've used, for example "12 of 25 free clips used".
- When you reach the limit, the keyboard and Share Sheet tell you that the clip wasn't saved.
- Saved clips are never locked. You can still use, edit, and delete them. Delete a clip to free a slot, or upgrade to Pro.
- PasteKit has no ads.
PasteKit Pro: purchases and restore
- Pro unlocks unlimited clips and iCloud Backup & Sync. It's available monthly, yearly, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.
- Restore purchases: in PasteKit, open Settings → PasteKit Pro and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.
- Cancel or change a subscription: iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Apple handles billing and refunds. To request a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
"Clips can't be saved permanently" warning
This warning means PasteKit couldn't open its on-device storage, so new clips might be lost when the app closes. Restart your iPhone, make sure the device has free storage, and update PasteKit. If the warning stays, email me before you delete the app, so you don't lose your clips.
